I am very confused. Some Web site providers are only mentioning Web hosting services and some are Search Engine submition for web site and charge accordingly. What is the difference between these two? Is it advisable to submit the same Web site on different Search Engineens?
Do we get the results on Key Words from all sites on Internet or only limited to that Web hosting/Serch engine site?
Please advice what is the best way I have to follow to launch my Web site on the Internet. Your extra suggetions will be appreciated.
What is the difference between Web hosting and Search Engine Submission?
Hi Dost,
Web Hosting: A Place where the entire website is kept to be viewed to the world. (So when you create website[html pages] the entire website takes some space right and that has to be put it on a server so that the world can access it.)
Search Engine Submission: People charge something to get your website famous and to be listed little up when someone search for the keywords related to your website. I don%26#039;t think this is an effective way.
Now it depends that what kind of website you are developing. Do you want to promote that website? or is it for your official/ personal purpose. I personally don%26#039;t suggest to go for search engine submission.
For web hosting you can visit http://www.net4domains.com
to promote your website on your own you can use web communities like http://360.yahoo.com or http://www.orkut.com
Wish you best of luck for your website.
Good Day.
What is the difference between Web hosting and Search Engine Submission?
Hi.
Some hosting providers do provide search engine submission services as their %26quot;side menu%26quot;. In fact, this search engine submission task can be done by yourself. However, it%26#039;s not advisable to submit website to search engine.. It%26#039;s always the best to let the search engine to find you by itself. That%26#039;s where SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) comes in here.
It%26#039;s important for you to search more info on SEO. Try google it.. You%26#039;ll find a lot of information on that.
If you want to try on paid hosting, you can have a look at http://www.exabytes.com
Other Replys:It%26#039;s like renting a store in the mall. The hosting is the actual store, the domain name is the name of the store and the web pages are the things in the store.
Search engines are like the mall directories. You tell them what stuff you have and where to find it.
There are many companies that can help. This site has some good info and the techs are there 24/7 to help answer questions.
